Portland 1 (SD – 26), Tacoma 3
LHP Ryan Feierabend (5.11, PO, W) pitched seven innings and gave up a run on five hits, a hit batter, two walks, and two Ks and that was something positive. RHP Scott Patterson (2.76, S) struck out four in the final two innings.
3B Matt Mangini (2B, R, RBI, .308) and SS Tug Hulett (2B, .471) had two hits apiece, 1B Justin Smoak (2B, RBI, .260) had a double and two walks, and that about covers it.

West Tenn 5, Montgomery 12 (TB - 3)
Losses to the Biscuits always feel more demoralizing than standard losses. LHP Jimmy Gillheeney (9.64, L) let seven (six earned) score on seven hits (2 HR!), a wild pitch, and a walk against five Ks through five innings. RHP Wes Littleton (8.83) then had five more (four earned) score on three hits and four walks, though one was intentional. Things didn’t calm down until the final two innings, when RHP Steven Richard (4.50) had a hit and a walk, but no runs, and RHP Mumba Rivera (6.15) struck out three in the eighth.
DH Johan Limonta (HR, 2 RBI, .299) had his fourteenth home run. That’s a career high for him. 2B Matt Lawson (2 2B, RBI, .326), 3B Alex Liddi (R, 2 E, .269), RF Carlos Peguero (2B, R, .252), and CF Leury Bonilla (R, SB, E, .267) all had two hits. C Guillermo Quiroz (R, .298) had a hit and a walk.

Lake Elsinore 8 (SD 0), High Desert 12
LHP Jonathan Hesketh (4.36) only lasted three innings as he let two runs score on four hits, five walks, and six Ks. Upsetting. RHP Daniel Cooper (4.76, W) had an unearned run score against him on a hit, a wild pitch, a walk, and three Ks in the next two. He got the win, but the rest of the bullpen wasn’t helping. LHP Bobby LaFromboise (4.46) gave up two on three hits (HR) and a K in the next two blah blah foam rage move him back into the rotation. RHP Cheyne Hann (7.01) let three more plate on four hits (HR) and a K in the last two.
CF Denny Almonte (3 2B, R, 2 RBI, .258) had three doubles, which is as good a game as he’s had in some time. RF Johermyn Chavez (2 R, .317) also was on three times, with a single and two walks, and LF Jake Shaffer (2B, 3 R, .335) had a couple hits batting later in the order. 2B Kyle Seager (HR, .345) and 3B Shaver Hansen (HR, 4 RBI, E, .202) both had home runs, and Hansen’s was a grand slam, which is probably a first for him. He also walked. 1B Rich Poythress (2B, R, 2 RBI, .310) doubled.

Quad Cities 0 (STL + 5), Clinton 5
RHP Yoervis Medina (2.17, W) did his best Seco impersonation, going six innings and allowing two hits, a wild pitch, and six walks, but no runs, and striking out nine. LHP Jose Jimenez (3.08) had a hit and a walk in the next two innings and then RHP Brandon Josselyn (3.88) had an uneventful ninth.
RF James Jones (R, RBI, CS, .267) and CF Matt Cerione (2 2B, R, .286) both had three hits in the game, LF Vinnie Catricala (2B, R, RBI, .307) and 3B Mario Martinez (HR, 2 RBI, .242) both had two, and 2B Nick Franklin (CS, .286) walked twice.

Everett 4, Eugene 6 (SD + 1)
We lost to a pitcher named Everett. But we’re Everett? Awk-ward. RHP Austin Hudson (2.79, E) pitched two and two-thirds innings and gave up three runs (one earned) on two hits, a hit batter, three walks, and three Ks. No good. RHP Eric Valdez (0.82) was pretty great in relief though, despite the unearned run on two hits and a walk, because he struck out seven in three and a third innings. RHP Tyler Burgoon (3.18, L) had two runs score against him on a walk, a home run, and three Ks prior to that in two and a third innings, which is to say, we lost on a walk-off.
RF Kevin Rivers (.323), 1B Evan Sharpley (2B, 2 RBI, .240), and C Steve Baron (R, PB, .249) all had two hits in the game and 2B Terry Serrano (R, .299) and CF Robbie Anston (R, CS, .293) both had a hit and a walk.

Pulaski 0, Elizabethton 5 (MIN + 16)
Somehow, RHP Timothy Boyce (2.98) gave up all five runs on seven hits (2 HR!), a wild pitch, a walk, and seven Ks. RHP Yao Wen Chang (8.68) pitched the rest of the game without incident.
The Mariners were three-hit, without any walks, and the only noteworthy hit was C Larry Gonzalez (2B, PB, .278) getting a double.

Yamasa Mariners 3, DSL Giants 4
We are going against a superior team. RHP Ambioris Hidalgo (6.75, PO, 2 E, L) let four runs (three earned) score on seven hits, a balk, a hit batter, a walk, and five Ks. LHP Leonel Cortoreal (0.00) hit one, walked one, and threw a wild pitch in the next third, and then RHP Noel de la Cruz (0.00) had two walks, a wild pitch, a hit batter, and four Ks in the final three and two-thirds innings. It was close?
Would it surprise you if I said 1B Rudy van Heydoorn (2B, R, .375) was the only offensive threat, logging three hits in the game? Probably not, but SS Noe Berro (R, 2 E, .500) had two hits too so hey.
