Tacoma 3, Reno 7 (ARI - 19)
LHP Ryan Feierabend (5.40, 2 PO, E L), pitching in Reno, gave up five runs on ten hits (2 HR!), a walk, a balk, and two Ks in six innings. I saw someone write that he was hitting 83 mph which is somehow worse than what I expected. RHP Yusmeiro Petit (5.74) gave up two unearned runs on a hit, three walks, and a couple of Ks in the next inning and then RHP Sean White (0.00) walked a man in the eighth.
C Adam Moore (2B, .360) had two hits and LF Mike Wilson (3B, R, .293) tripled.

West Tenn 3, Birmingham 5 (CHW - 4)
RHP Dan Cortes (6.08, L) gave up seven runs on seven hits (HR), a wild pitch, five walks, and four Ks in four innings of work. BLARG. RHP Aaron Jensen (4.42, E) scored two of those on a walk, a couple wild pitches, and a couple hit batters, though no runs came to score on him. LHP Nick Hill (7.36) gave up three hits and struck out one in the next inning and a third, and that turned into a run that RHP Steven Richard (4.32) scored, with a hit and a K in the last inning and two-thirds.
There was some offense. CF Brandon Haveman (2B, RBI, .301), DH Carlos Peguero (2B, HR, 2 R, .272), 2B Matt Lawson (3B, RBI, .286), and C Brandon Bantz (3B, R, .176) all had two hits, for example. There was only a walk from the rest of the lineup.

San Jose 1 (SF - 8), High Desert 8
RHP Andrew Carraway (5.57, W) had a chance for the complete game shutout. Instead, he went eight and a third innings and gave up a run on nine hits, a wild pitch, a hit batter, and a walk against three Ks. I don’t know what would have happened to me if the Mavs had a CG shutout at home. Probably apoplexy, but as it stands I just have a headache and a nerve in my left eyebrow won’t stop twitching. LHP Brian Moran (4.26) allowed a hit and struck out a pair in the remaining two-thirds.
SS Edilio Colina (2B, R, 2 RBI, SB, .304), C Trevor Coleman (2B, HR, 2 R, 2 RBI, .213), and 3B (what?) Ralph Henriquez (.275) all had two hits, and RF Johermyn Chavez (R, SB, .296) had a single and three walks. I’m starting to think he’s some kind of prospect, even though he hits two-thirds of his home runs at home. He made the hot sheet, even.

West Michigan 6 (DET - 7), Clinton 11
RHP Taylor Stanton (3.91, W) gave up five runs on eleven hits, two walks, and four Ks in five innings. I’ve seen better, we all have, but it didn’t really matter anyway. LHP Jose Jimenez (2.27) pitched the next three innings, allowing a hit and walking a couple, and then RHP Brandon Josselyn (3.03) had a hit and a K in the ninths after it was no longer a save situation.
Many good nights were had amongst the offense! I was especially fond of SS Nick Franklin (2 R, 3 SB, .289) going 2-for-2 with three walks. Revenge is a dish best served in an awesome way. There was also a home run and two walks by LF Kalian Sams (HR, 3 RBI, .184) and a 4-for-5 night by CF Daniel Carroll (2B, HR, 2 R, 2 RBI, SB, A, .283) that featured some power. C Henry Contreras (R, RBI, .393) also had two hits and a walk, while 1B Tim Morris (2B, R, RBI, .311) and RF James Jones (2B, 2 R, 2 RBI, .242) both had doubles, with Morris adding a walk.

Everett 7, Yakima 10 (ARI - 2)
RHP Eric Thomas (5.02) gave up five runs on five hits, a hit batter, and two walks against three Ks in five+ innings. He then turned the ball over to LHP Jason Markovitz (4.22, BS, L) who went and scored two of those runs and four more on four hits, a walk, and two Ks in an inning and two-thirds. RHP Austin Hudson (3.38) scored two of those and an unearned of his own on two hits and two walks against a K over the last four outs. Not a good day for the bullpen.
C Steve Baron (2B, 2 R, .203) had three hits in the game. Kudos to him. RF Kevin Rivers (R, RBI, .319) and 3B Mickey Wiswall (2 RBI, .242) both had two hits, with Rivers drawing a walk, 1B Evan Sharpley (HR, .234) clubbed his third home run, and DH Ryan Royster (2B, R, RBI, .234) doubled.CF Dwight Britton (2 R, RBI, SB, .208) also had a hit and a walk.

Johnson City 10 (STL + 6), Pulaski 2
That didn’t go so well! I’m a little baffled as to how RHP Yovanny Olivero (7.09) was so great in middle relief and is now bad in the rotation. This time it was five runs on four hits, a wild pitch, three walks, and four Ks in five+ innings, but two of those you can charge to RHP Yao Wen Chang (14.73), who allowed hit and two walks without recording an out, and his runs you can charge to RHP Bryan Leigh (0.96), who let everyone score and had three hits, a walk, and four Ks in two innings of work. This team’s pitching is kind of annoying. LHP Michael Vitale (9.00) debuted with two runs scoring over five hits, a hit batter, and a K in two innings.
3B Ramon Morla (R, .313) and LF Jose Rivero (2B, R, RBI, SB, .441) both had two hits. No one walked and there were only two hits for the other seven guys!

Peoria Mariners 0, AZL Indians 1
LHP Nate Reed (3.68, PO, L) gave up a run on two hits, a hit batter, a walk, and five Ks through five and two-thirds innings and his record dropped to 0-3. AZL BASEBALL! RHP Jandy Sena (3.38) pitched the last two and a third innings with two hits allowed and three Ks.
SS Carlos Ramirez (2B, .250) had a double and DH Matt Browning (.250) had a single anda walk. This may be the least productive Arizona League game I’ve ever seen.

VSL Phillies 6, Aguirre Mariners 9 (seven innings)
RHP Angel Raga (3.46, W) pitched five and a third innings for the win, with two runs scoring on seven hits, a hit batter, three walks, and three Ks. RHP Rafael Carrera (9.00) scored one of those and four more in an inning and a third on four hits, a wild pitch, and two walks against a K. RHP Isliexel Gonzalez (5.17, S) got the final out.
C Ivan Ramirez (2B, 2 R, .344) and RF Alexy Palma (R, .270) both had three walks, with Ramirez adding a double. 1B Miguel Brito (2B, R, 3 RBI, .268) and SS Roberto Velasquez (2 RBI, .306) both had two hits, CF Jesus Ugueto (3B, R, RBI, .300) tripled, and DH Felipe Burin (2 R, .310) and 2B Yidid Batista (RBI, .232) both had a hit and a walk.

The second VSL game was suspended with about three innings in the books, so that sucks. But hey, Felipe Burin walked twice. He is so good. DSL was actually rained out.
