Tacoma 6, Las Vegas 9 (TOR - 3)
RHP Ian Snell (5.13, L) let seven runs score on eleven hits (HR), three walks, and three Ks through six innings. Probably his worst start in a while. RHP Joe Nelson (7.71) and RHP Scott Patterson (2.30) both had a run score against them on two hits and a K in an inning of work, but Patterson’s came on a solo home run.
RF David Winfree (HR, 2 R, .313) and LF Mike Wilson (R, .290) both had two hits in the game, that being the fifth home run for Winfree.

West Tenn 10, Huntsville 0 (MIL 0)
RHP Jarrett Grube (2.06, W) gave up five hits, threw a wild pitch, hit a batter, and struck out eight in the same number of innings. If his next outing is decent, he might be POTW. RHP Dan Cortes (6.00) struck out a pair in relief. IT HAS BEGUN.
RF Scott Savastano (HR, 4 RBI, .310) had three hits in the game, which included his third home run at the level, but DH Alex Liddi (3B, HR, 2 R, 5 RBI, .272) also continued his hot hitting with two extra-base knocks. CF Brandon Haveman (2 R, CS, A, .304), 1B Johan Limonta (R, .281), and SS Carlos Triunfel (R, .276) all had two hits as well, with Haveman drawing a walk, and 2B Matt Lawson (R, .333) and LF Nate Tenbrink (2 R, .265) both had a hit and a walk.

High Desert 3, Modesto 5 (COL + 2)
RHP Kenn Kasparek (3.10) made his first start in nearly a month and let a run score on four hits, two hit batters, a walk, and three Ks through five innings. RHP Jake Wild (5.78), pushed out of the rotation, let two score on four hits, a walk, and a K in the next two and a third innings, and RHP Wes Littleton (3.46, BS, L) scored one of those along with two of his own on three hits, a plunked batter, a walk, and a K in the last two-thirds.
LF Kuo-hui Lo (SB, .333) and C Trevor Coleman (2B, R, .212) both had a couple of walks, with Coleman adding a double. 1B Rich Poythress (RBI, SB, .289) and 3B Eddy Martinez-Esteve (2B, .362) both had two hits and CF Denny Almonte (A, E, .276) had a single and a walk. It was Pyhtress’ first stolen base of the year?

Eugene 2 (SD - 6), Everett 6
So we swept that brief homestand. RHP Yoervis Medina (3.53, W) had one of his decent starts, going six and a third frames and letting two runs score on four hits (HR), three walks, and eight Ks. RHP Willy Kesler (2.76, S) pitched the last two and two-thirds, with two walks, two wild pitches, and three Ks.
RF Kevin Rivers (2 HR, 3 R, .333) had three hits in the game, including his fifth and sixth home runs. That’s an easy way of endearing himself to the fans again after they were possibly distracted by the return of Royster. 1B Evan Sharpley (2 RBI, CS, .248) had three singles, 3B Kevin Mailloux (2 2B, 2 R, RBI, .261) had two hits, and DH Hawkins Gebbers (2B, R, RBI, .2220) doubled.

Pulaski 8, Danville 1 (ATL 0)
RHP George Mieses (3.11, W) got his second win in a row after giving up a run on five hits, a wild pitch, two hit batters, and a walk against four Ks. RHP Stephen Kolscheen (0.00) struck out one in the ninth. Gotta keep accumulating those Stephens/Stevens. Wouldn’t want to lose our advantage there.
CF Mario Yepez (HR, 2 R, 4 RBI, .198) had two hits in the game, as did RF Jose Rivero (2B, R, 3 RBI, .400). Yepez sure has been hitting well of late. LF James Wood (R, 2 SB, .286) walked twice and 1B Matt Browning (R, SB, .200) had a single and a walk.

AZL Cubs 9, Peoria Mariners 8
RHP Dylan Unsworth (2.33) gave up two hits and rung up four in three innings of work to open it. Following him, RHP Luke Taylor (4.91), whom we haven’t seen in a while, walked three and struck out one. LHP Kody Kurowski (11.57, L) pitched an inning+ and let eight runs (six earned) score on nine hits and a K. RHP Jarett Attard (4.50) scored one of those and one of his own on four hits, two walks, and two Ks in the next two, then RHP Jeroen de Haas (4.24, E) struck out one in the final two innings.
CF Guillermo Pimentel (2B, HR, 3 R, 2 RBI, .257) and C Jose Hernandez (2 2B, R, 3 RBI, E, .226) both had three hits in the game. It was Pimentel’s first pro home run! 1B Ji-man Choi (2B, 2 R, SB, .437) and DH Jose Flores (2B, R, 2 RBI, .267) both had two hits, but Choi added yet another walk. 3B Jose Martinez (.160) had a single and a walk.

Aguirre Mariners 5, VSL Rays 6
RHP Ricardo Pereira (3.10) let five runs (four earned) score on ten hits (HR), a wild pitch, a hit batter, two walks, and a K in five innings of work. RHP Daniel Mata (6.07, L) then let one score on three hits and two Ks in three innings, that run scoring in the eighth just after the M’s had rallied for two to tie it.
2B Yidid Batista (2B, HR, 2 RBI, .238) had two hits in the game, including his first home run of the year, and 1B Miguel Brito (HR, 2 RBI, .279) hit out his second home run.

Most of the DSL had weather to deal with.
