Tacoma 1, Memphis 5 (STL + 2)
LHP Chris Seddon (3.92, L) let three plate on four hits (HR), four walks, and four Ks in six and a third innings of work. RHP Brian Sweeney (1.65) wrapped up the seventh with a groundout and a K, and then RHP Chad Cordero (5.17) let a couple of runs (one earned) score on three hits in the eighth.
RF Brad Nelson (HR, .284) hit his third home run. Yep.

West Tenn 1, Mississippi 2 (ATL - 1)
The bullpen needed an evening off and RHP Steve Bray (3.03, L) gave it to them, only requiring eighty-four pitches to throw eight complete, allowing two runs (one earned) to score on three hits and a couple of Ks.
A shame that the offense also sort of took the night off. C Jose Yepez (2B, .258) and DH Scott Savastano (2B, R, .333) both doubled and CF Kuo-hui Lo (RBI, PO, .238) had a single and a walk. Jack Wilson continued to ride the pine.

Inland Empire 6 (LA - 16), High Desert 5 (ten innings)
The good news was that RHP Andrew Carraway (3.83, PO) was back to his old tricks, giving up three runs (one earned) on four hits (HR), a walk, and nine Ks in seven and two-thirds innings. The bad news was, so was RHP Stephen Penney (3.93, BS), who scored two of those and two of his own on two home runs and a K in an inning of work. I believe Penney has scored six of his last seven inherited runners. RHP Steven Richard (4.26) also gave up a solo home run, walked on, and struck out two in the final inning and a third.
The Mavericks had sixteen hits today and one of them was not a single. That was the triple by CF Denny Almonte (3B, 2 R, .307), who also had a single and a walk. LF Nate Tenbrink (2 R, SB, .387) had four singles, C Travis Scott (RBI, .265) had three, and 3B Edilio Colina (R, E, .340) and RF Johermyn Chavez (CS, 2 RBI, .279) both had two. Colina also had a walk.

Clinton 4, Burlington 1 (KC - 12)
RHP Erasmo Ramirez (2.43, W) had another solid start, running his record to 2-2 as he allowed a run to score on seven hits and three Ks while running a 11/4 ground/fly. LHP Brian Moran (1.96) and RHP Taylor Stanton (3.97) both struck out one, splitting the final two innings.
For the offense, RF James Jones (2B, 2 R, SB, A, .210) and LF Wellington Dotel (RBI, .310) both had two hits and SS Nick Franklin (.318), 1B Dennis Raben (2B, R, RBI, .232), and 2B-SS Gabriel Noriega (R, SB, .180) all had a hit and a walk. It was Franklin’s first walk this month.

VSL Rays 3, Aguirre Mariners 4
RHP Reynaldo Sabala (0.00) pitched three and two-thirds innings in his first start, giving up three hits, hitting one, walking two and striking out two. RHP Isliexel Gonzalez (3.86, PO) let a run score on two hits, a hit batter, and a walk in the next two and a third innings, and then RHP Maikel Ynfantes (9.00) let two runs score on three hits and a wild pitch against two Ks in the two innings that followed. RHP Ricardo Pereira (0.00) struck out one in the ninth. I feel like we’re only seeing the veterans so far.
RF Alexy Palma (SB, .250) had two hits in the game and 2B Michael Acevedo (2B, RBI, .125) doubled.
