A few days ago, there was an MiLB.com article on the Rainiers playoff run with a lot of quotes from Ackley. Consider it a primer to tomorrow evening’s game.

I’m not happy. But we came really far!... And stuff… RHP Yoervis Medina (2.21, L) gave up three runs (two earned) on five hits, a wild pitch, and a walk against seven Ks in a complete eight innings. The opposition was just as stingy with baserunners.
RF James Jones (PO, .356) had two walks out of the leadoff spot. SS Gabriel Noriega (R, CS, .238) had two hits batting ninth. With their powers combined, nothing much happened. I’m sorry. At least Franklin had a hit?
