Holy crap it's September.

Colorado Springs 10 (COL - 14), Tacoma 4
Thursday night, last game at Cheney before renovations. Remember to print out tickets before you go. LHP Ryan Feierabend (5.29, L) let four runs score through four innings after six hits, a wild pitch, a hit batter, and two walks against five Ks. RHP Anthony Varvaro (5.04) then gave up three runs on two hits and two walks and the only out he recorded was a K. RHP Levale Speigner (5.06) scored one of those and three of his own (two earned) on five hits, a walk, and two Ks in two and two-thirds. I’d complain about the bullpen but it’s not as though there was a chance in there by that point. RHP Scott Patterson (2.59) had a hit and two walks in the eight and RHP Dan Cortes (4.00) did pretty much the same minus a K.
LF Mike Carp (HR, 2 RBI, .254) hit his twenty-seventh home run. Man, he keeps doing that. 2B Dustin Ackley (R, E, .277), 1B Justin Smoak (2B, R, 2 RBI, .275), and DH Brad Nelson (.264) all added two hits and RF Jeff Dominguez (2B, R, .226) had a double and a walk. So he was playing that position again.

Mississippi 10 (ATL - 4), West Tenn 1
LHP Jimmy Gillheeney (10.22, L) pitched three innings and gave up six runs (four earned) on five hits (HR), a couple walks, and five Ks. He’ll be okay. Next year perhaps. LHP Brian Moran (40.50) then gave up three runs on four hits and a walk in the next two-thirds. Yeah same with him. RHP Wes Littleton (7.84) let a run score on two hits, a wild pitch, two walks, and two Ks in the next inning and a third. RHP Steven Richard (3.90) gave up three hits and two walks while striking out one in the next two innings. LHP Cesar Jimenez (1.13) and RHP Mumba Rivera (5.97) split the last two innings, Jimenez allowing a hit, hitting one, and striking out a pair, and Rivera had a walk and a K.
RF Nate Tenbrink (2B, 3B, R, .283) and C Brandon Bantz (2B, 2 E, .254) both reached three times, Tenbrink with two hits and a walk, and Bantz with a hit and two walks. 2B Leury Bonilla (2B, .263) doubled and walked.

High Desert 8, Rancho Cucamonga 9 (ANA + 7)
The Mavs are in the playoffs but… LHP Jonathan Hesketh (4.45) gave up four runs (three earned) on seven hits (HR), a hit batter, a couple walks, and seven Ks in five innings. LHP Bobby LaFromboise (4.57) then let three score on five hits (HR) and three Ks in the next two and a third innings. RHP Daniel Cooper (4.50, BS, L) let two runs, one of them earned, score on two hits (HR) and two walks and three Ks in the final inning and a third. So we didn’t escape the ninth, despite entering with the lead.
3B Kyle Seager (HR, 3 RBI, .343) had his thirteenth home run and was batting third for whatever reason. A couple of guys got on three times, LF Jake Shaffer (R, .333) had a hit and two walks, and CF Denny Almonte (2B, 2 R, .258) had two hits and a walk. DH Kuo-hui Lo (2B, 2 R, RBI, .217) had a double and C Trevor Coleman (RBI, PB, .216) had a hit and a walk. Coleman has fourteen passed balls on the year. Must be some kind of organization mandate.

Beloit 4 (MIN + 4), Clinton 3 (eleven innings)
Yeah this was bad. RHP Yoervis Medina (2.50, E) gave up three runs on five hits (HR), a hit batter, a walk, and six Ks which wasn’t the bad part. Nor was LHP Jason Markovitz (3.31) allowing a hit and a walk in three innings of work. RHP Brandon Josselyn (4.64, L) giving up an unearned run on two hits, a walk, and a K in the eleventh, that was the issue.
RF James Jones (3B, HR, 3 RBI, SB, .273) had three hits in the game, and was a double shy of the cycle in this case. 1B Tim Morris (2B, R, .248) added two hits, and DH Mickey Wiswall (.288), LF-1B Vinnie Catricala (.306), and CF Matt Cerione (R, .293) all had a hit and a walk.

Vancouver 2 (OAK + 13), Everett 3
LHP Edlando Seco (2.48, W) did his usual thing, that being a run on two hits, a balk, four walks, and five Ks in five innings. RHP Eric Valdez (0.69, S) allowed a hit over the next two and RHP Tyler Burgoon (3.38, S) let a run score on three hits, a wild pitch, and two Ks in the final two.
RF Kevin Rivers (HR, 2 RBI, .338) had two hits, which included his eleventh home run, along with a walk. He’s the only notable but they won so okay.

Pulaski 4, Elizabethton 7 (MIN)
This blew. Also we blew the lead. RHP Steve Kohlscheen (6.75) gave up four runs (three earned) after seven hits, two wild pitches, two walks, and five Ks. RHP Bryan Leigh (0.00) had four hits and a K, but no runs in the next inning. Thank LHP Ryan Kiel (0.00) for that, as he walked one and threw a wild pitch, but struck out the side. RHP Tim Griffin (13.50, L) let three runs plate on three hits, a wild pitch, a hit batter, two walks, and a K in the last two innings. LAME.
SS Jetsy Extrano (HR, 2 R, 2 RBI, SB, .333) had the big hit, the home run, which gave the M’s a rather temporary 2-0 lead. RF Jabari Blash (2B, R, .333) and C Larry Gonzalez (2B, .250) both had doubles and DH Jake Schlander (.667) had two singles.
