1B Johan Limonta is a Southern League Postseason All-Star.

Colorado Springs 3 (COL - 13), Tacoma 1
I was at this game. It wasn’t all that interesting. A sorry sendoff really. LHP Ryan Rowland-Smith (5.11) gave up two runs (one earned) on five hits, a wild pitch, and five Ks. A lot of the balls against him were hit hard and either went at fielders or didn’t. RHP Andy Baldwin (4.90) gave up a run on two hits in the next frame and then RHP Josh Lueke (2.40) struck out one in the ninth. He looked like a major league reliever.
3B Matt Mangini (.316) hit the ball pretty well throughout the game, collecting three singles. No one else did. Smoak grounded into two double plays, so Mangini wasn’t often on base for long. I would like it if the Rainiers clinched the division title at some point.

Mississippi 2 (ATL - 5), West Tenn 4
RHP Luis Munoz (3.88, W) gave up two runs on six hits (HR), a wild pitch, a hit batter, a walk, and two Ks in a winning effort. Apparently, the Jaxx’ magic number is down to one. Reading through the Southern League playoff procedures, I had no idea they still had a chance. LHP Nick Hill (4.32) pitched the next inning and a third and had two hits, a walk, and two Ks to his line, and then RHP Mumba Rivera (5.80, PO, E, S) struck out the side and hit one and picked off one and made an error and threw a wild pitch in a somewhat eventful ninth.
2B Matt Lawson (R, .331) led off with three hits, all of them singles. Further down in the order, LF Carlos Peguero (2B, 3B, .254) and CF-RF Leury Bonilla (2B, R, .268) both had two hits, RF Scott Savastano (2B, RBI, .271) doubled, and 3B Alex Liddi (R, .272) had a single and a walk.

High Desert 4, Rancho Cucamonga 3 (ANA + 6)
We did it! Positive outcome! RHP Kenn Kasparek (4.06) pitched seven and a third innings and three runs scored against him after five hits (HR), a hit batter, a walk, and four Ks. RHP Stephen Penney (3.50, W) walked one and struck out one in the final inning and two-thirds and we won we won we won.
It wasn’t a walk-off, but credit CF Denny Almonte (2B, R, 1-4, .258) and C Trevor Coleman (2B, R, RBI, 1-3, BB, .218) for consecutive two-out doubles in the top half of the inning. 3B Kyle Seager (2B, R, RBI, .344) and DH Jake Shaffer (2B, .335) both had two hits and 1B Shaver Hansen (2B, R, .216) doubled. Hansen has been rather useful this week.

Lumberkings were suspended in the second. Friday, they’ll finish that game and then play a seven inning game.

Vancouver 3 (OAK + 14), Everett 2
RHP Austin Hudson (2.92) lasted four innings, giving up two runs on eight hits, two walks, and two Ks. LHP Kody Kurowski (0.00) followed up with his Northwest League debut where he struck out one in an inning of work. RHP John Housey (3.07, L) allowed a run to score on four hits, a wild pitch, and two Ks in the last three innings and that put an end to that.
CF Robbie Anston (2 R, SB, .302) had three hits in the game, although I think that was overshadowed by RF Kevin Rivers (RBI, .341) walking three times and getting a hit too. 3B Terry Serrano (2B, .308) and LF Kalian Sams (2B, .157) both doubled, with Sams adding a walk? Baron struck out four times. Yep.

Vancouver 1 (+ 13), Everett 6 (seven innings)
I think I like the way this one worked out better. LHP Anthony Fernandez (2.59, W) allowed three hits and a walk while striking out four in six innings. RHP Jorden Merry (4.15) gave up a solo shot in the seventh and that was it for scoring.
RF Kalian Sams (2B, R, .178) and LF Dwight Britton (RBI, .220) both had a couple of hits in the game and CF Robbie Anston (2B, .302), 3B Terry Serrano (2B, R, E, .309), DH Kevin Rivers (2B, R, RBI, .340), and SS Anthony Phillips (2B, 2 RBI, .199) all had doubles, with Serrano and Rivers drawing walks.

Pulaski 6, Elizabethton 3 (MIN) (ten innings)
That does it for the season. Oddly enough, the game was tied 1-1 leaving the ninth. Anyway, RHP Tim Boyce (1.50) did get the start, and did what you’d expect with it, giving up a run on six hits and eight Ks in six innings. RHP Preston Vancil (0.00) turned in a scoreless inning after that with a hit and a K to his name. It was RHP Matthew Bischoff (16.88, L) who ran into trouble, as he let five runs score on five hits, a hit batter, and four Ks in two and two-thirds innings, and RHP Yovanny Olivero (0.00) had to get that final out, though he allowed a hit to score one of Bischoff’s runs before he did so.
And for hitting highlights? 1B Matt Browning (HR, E, .250) and 2B Jorge Agudelo (HR, .143) hit back-to-back home runs in the tenth. For Browning it was one of two hits.
